Hi guys! I am extremely excited to have gotten accepted into my top two medical schools. I am from Florida and love the fact that I will be paying in-state tuition and that I will be close to family. However, I am having a hard time deciding between the two

FSU:
PROS
- has a true P/F system for pre-clinical (no internal rankings which is a big deal for me I think)
- closer to home for me
- less expensive for tuition and cost of living

Cons:
- not much diversity
- starts in MAY!!

FIU:
Pros:
- starts in august
- lots of diversity
- gives scholarships

Cons:
- P/F with internal rankings
- I think there is alot of driving during clinical years to get to the various clinics for rotations. May need to relocate within Miami itself for the second two years
- farther from home and more expensive cost of living

I know I dont have much on the lists so I could really use anyone and everyones helps (especially current students at both schools). It seems like both schools are ranked the same too so that just makes it more confusing. Does anyone know more about the reputation of either school? Or have any opinions on what they would do in my situation?

Feel free to message me if you want to go into specifics, but as you saw on my post most people only commented on FIU and not so much about FSU. Another con to FSU is that you do 2 years in Tally, 2 years in one of their seven spots. There was also an article last year that AAMC came down on FSU and said they needed to make major curricular changes to keep their accreditation status. Also, not sure if it matters to you but there's 0 real patient exposure until M3/4 at FSU, as they use standardized patients.

I also recommend you join both admitted student groups on FB and try to get the vibes from there. FSU has a GroupMe that's pretty active as well.
