As a Temple student, I'm the first one to admit that the facilities are a bit dated (which is why they're building a new medical research/education building...odds are that you won't see much of it though; there have also been renovations made to the main hospital, not to mention that the childrens hospital is fairly new). In any case, from what my friends tell me, the clinical training is top-notch. As far as the pre-clinical years go, I enjoyed first year (very conceptual) but hated second year (almost all rote memorization)...however, they have now switched to a more systems oriented approach, so things might be different. With regards to your particular situation, I would be a bit wary about going to a new school without its own teaching hospital...I'm not saying that Temple is necessarily better (after all, this is highly subjective), but you are virtually gauranteed a solid clinical training (the same is not necessarily true of a new program); the facilities may not be the newest/best, but they are certainly sufficient to provide good training.
