Hi Y'all,
I had another question for everyone.

First, I realize that most schools require 6 English units (8 for CSPM).
My college requires 5 credit hours of English and 10 writing credit hours for a total of 15 quarter credit hours. I fulfilled my requirement with English, Comparative Literature, and an Earth and Space Science class. The latter of the two were for writing credit and denoted as a W on my transcript. Will these courses fulfill my requirements? I have signed up for another 5 credit English this summer, that would put me in the clear for most schools, but I would prefer to not have to take English...of the Bible haha.

I did some searching on the forums and have only found answers from Medical school applicants and they said that some schools were fine with writing credits, where others require students to send them a letter from an advisor explaining how writing credits worked and a copy of the course descriptions.

I also emailed CSPM, Western, and NYCPM, but have not received a response. Is there anyone I should specifically email?

Thanks for all your input!

My school doesn't have a English requirement to graduate but they do have a writing requirement. Also, to graduate any major, even in the hardcore sciences, there is writing already incorporated into the program such as labs when you have to write formal papers.

The thing is, my school is a huge premed school so they even provide letters to any admission committee that even though their course is classified as writing, their courses have been deemed to fulfill the English requirements. AACPMAS won't let me reclassify it as English so I ended up sending that letter to all the schools.
