I doubt any of the classes are full - you have to remember that as people receive acceptances, or make up their minds as to which school to attend, they will decline the other acceptances - spots will open up all through the spring, and probably even into the summer.

most (all?) schools are still interviewing and many will continue to interview through March at least. They will not finish their class rosters until all students have been interviewed and reviewed by the committees.

In general, schools offered acceptances to about half of their class size on Dec 1st (UCSF 44/88, ASDOH 40/60 et cetera) knowing that not everyone who is accepted there will choose to go there. The admission cycle becomes a rolling one with more acceptances, declined acceptances, and so on.

THE GAME ISN'T OVER! :)

Few, if any, schools are full. Most, however, are close to full. Historically, Case and Columbia are usually packed by Dec 1st.

Students turning down schools have been used as a means for comforting those who havn't gotten into schools. However, this is to a great extent a means of creating false hope. Yes, many students turn down schools' offers, and the schools anticipate this: they accept many more students than they have spaces for. After Jan 15th, they're just trying to fill up the few remaining spaces.

Many do decline offers. How many, you ask? By roughly the amount of over-acceptance.

It's not that simple - if that were the case, what would be the use of waitlists? Sure, not everyone on the waitlist gets accepted, but some do. In addition, some schools are weary of over-accepting because predicting how many students are going to turn them down isn't an exact science. To say this is false hope might be true come late July, but not so early in the game.

other than the previously mentioned case and columbia, are there any other schools that are historically known to be full by december?

I know MUSC has only filled 26/56 seats... (another 10 this Monday)

why don't you go to predents and check out last year's acceptance tendencies. see how many were accepted after Dec 1st. On a rough glance, Temple seems fairly packed. Same with ASDOH. Pacific's fair.
