I have been getting incredibly low scores on AceTheDat. but I really feel I am prepared... does anyone else also thinks the exam on Ace is way too hard and many times, I believe the answer it wrong

I was about to buy acethedat, but I changed my mind. Someone in the forum mentioned that acethedat is only good for PAT and Math and that all the other stuff is just trash with a lots of mistake

When are you taking the dat?. Do you have topscore? You can't be wrong with topscore!

well i think acethedat is worth the $ for the math and PAT personally. It doesn't hurt to have advanced knowledge of the science parts either, but acethedat is kinda off target in those sections.

I recently purchased acethedat also and have been getting low scores. I found that in the math part there are also mistakes, at least with the practice problems.

ooh, good that I didn't purchased it! Heh, you guys need to get your refund back. I think it's stated on their web site that if you are not satisfied you can get the full refund!

I have been using acethedat for a week or so and I've found that it has really helped. It is full of blatant mistakes though- like giving correct explainations with a contradictory answer. It's frustrating at times but they are so obvious it doesn't lead you astray. If you are getting low scores, take those mistakes into account.

Scoring varies from test to test also. Today I took the free online Kaplan DAT and I got 24/30 on the Ochem section and my score was an 11.

The PAT is near impossible on acethedat - angles that are one degree different - crazy hole punches that are folded and punched on the fold so its a half circle. So its good practice. If you can overlook the mistakes its worth the money.

what frustrates me is that I got 28 in the RC in the first exam and 11 😱 in the second. there is no way one can get that low score in RC.

Yes, their key is wrong for one of the reading comp section. Like Taco said, acethedat is useful primarily for the PAT and math. I wouldn't worry too much about their other sections.

PAT from Acethedat practice exam 1 = 19
exam 2 = 18
exam 3 = 17

PAT from real DAT = 19

Also, I was scoring 22/23 on Topscore.

Would everyone that has taken the real DAT and has used Ace the DAT agree that Ace the DAT has the closest representation to the PAT on the actual DAT? It seems from various posts that this source is the closest thing available to accurately judge your performance. Thanks,

I was scoring pretty good in RC in topscore and I took the ACEthedat, I thought I got atleast 20 but then when I got the result it was 12... hmmm not sure... 😕

I have also taken most of the tests and believe me, they are crap....50% of their questions are wrong, believe me, I have been sending them so many wrong questions I should own the webpage!! don't worry about it, but here this.....THE MATH AND PAT SECTIONS ARE THE BEST....IF YOU REALLY WON'T TO SCORE GOOD ON THIS SECTIONS, ACETHEDAT IS A MUST. 😉

Having just taken the dat yesterday and studied off the acethedat pat section, I thought the real thing was a lot easier than ace the dat. Some of the top-front-end questions on ace the dat were just wacky. IMO barrons was much closer to the real thing.

Take my word. Do Not Buy Acethedat!!! And Do Not Do Too Much On Kaplan!!! That's a big no no for DAT test preparation. I scored a TS 23 AA22 on real DAT, and the night before I made a mistake by practicing on Kaplan and Acethedat, the questions were very difficult and not relavent to what's on the real one, so I was freaking scared the first half an hour of my real test. Thank god I was able to calm myself down. Anyways do not let some BAD test preparation material fool you.

I used kaplan, topscore and my own bio notes. I've heard that acethedat is really good for the PAT only. The PAT on kaplan and topscore don't really compare to the real thing.

Don't be scared.. First, I think most people here will agree that it is acethedat and not kaplan, that is bad. Second, the night before the exam you shouldn't really be taking any more practice exams.. Take the day off from studying and if you feel the need, flip through some flash cards.. If you don't know the material by that day -- you shouldn't be taking the exam the next day.
