Hey guys,

I am a Canadian student applying for medical schools for 2012/2013 year. My question is whether I should take a full physics credit? I have taken the one offered at my school (with lab) in the fall, so I have 0.5 credit but was wondering if taking a full year of physics would allow for me to apply to a greater range of DO school?

**I am applying to Canadian schools as well as DO schools, but I am leaning more towards DO schools in the states, particularly MSUCOM (Does not require physics). I want to keep my options open for other DO schools if MSUCOM doesn't work out so I was wondering if there are other Canadian friendly schools do not require physics.**

THANKS!!! 😀

I agree that most schools require both semesters.

Also, have you taken the MCAT yet? If not, you may want to consider taking a full year of physics since the physical science section contains some 2nd semester stuff. But, if you already have a good MCAT score without taking it, then good job!

I'm taking my MCAT on august 3rd. The date is pretty late so I'm worried that my application will not be reviewed as quickly as I would like. I am making up for the late MCAT by trying to finish my primary and as much of my secondary as I can, but I think I'm not in the best position. Should have written in earlier...

Not all. The OP is correct about MSU... Not sure about other schools. But for the MCAT... That's a different question

Hey HipChick,
What do you mean by "But for the MCAT... That's a different question"

Thanks!
