I'm trying to find fun and interactive ways to study because I really hate to be just reading and reading like crazy I just can't concentrate! It is so boring to me and I'm currently dealing with biochemistry cause I haven't found fun ways to learn and I'm feeling very frustrated and ******ed.

Got any hot friends with a nice rack having trouble studying too? :meanie:

Study in different places to change up the monotony. I wouldn't study in groups b/c they tend to decrease productivity and thus make you more frustrated.

To keep things fun & interesting for me, I like to read notes/slides/etc out loud. It helps me concentrate on them and, as an added benefit, helps me learn to pronounce all this stuff 😀

At times, for one reason or another, I find myself laughing at something I've learned or read about. I haven't quite figured out why yet, but it's either that I've gone insane or that I'm actually really into whatever I'm studying at the time. This seems to happen more often with physio than with any other subject...not sure why.

Sometimes I come up with funny ways to remember things...example: the other day I was reading something about congenital erythropoietic porphyria (also called Gunther's disease) and it reminded me of this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DbYtqAWDF2U&feature=related (the singer's name is Gunther). Now I won't ever forget it!

Honestly, studying isn't really that fun of an activity. Focus on studying efficiently so you can finish and go have fun.

Lol wut. Studying is fun. I can't wait for Boards study time, 'cause my idea of a great vacation is reading/organizing notes/Worlding/Qbanking 18 hours per day.

i feel bored and ******ed too. for biochem, you might try drawing mechanisms out and writing things on a big dry erase board. use lots of different color markers to keep things exciting.

This is pretty ridiculous, and I wouldn't use it as your primary means of studying, but it's fun every now and then

My roommate and I used to play a variation of "would you rather" while studying. One of us would come up with the question, i.e. "would you rather be a pink puffer or a blue bloater" or "would you rather be deficient in phenylalanine hydroxylase or homogenistic acid oxidase", and the other would answer and have to provide an explanation for why they would favor one over the other. In my experience this can get pretty entertaining at about 2am.

Our anatomy professor used to say: " you should study anatomy in groups of many people...and who knows, it might end up in an orgy" !!! lol

We used to play a similar game, we also play "what disease am I?" which is just like 20 questions
