MD resident. I have strong EC's with research achievements and community service leadership. Would anyone mind chancing me for these schools:

-Geisel at Dartmouth
-NYMC
-Florida International
-Drexel
-Jefferson
-Duke
-Wake Forest
-Brody at ECU

--See why I said it would be fun? Thank you for your time!

Should be in WAMC forum.

If you're not a NC resident then don't bother with ECU they won't even interview you. They are 100% in state. Look at MSAR

I realized after hitting submit, I'm sorry. I'm new to this, and I couldn't figure out how to delete my post. Thank you for your comments, though.

No MCAT, wrong forum, and vague EC descriptions. From this limited scope, I'd say you could have a shot at all these schools besides Duke. Consider broadening your reach of schools. Also it seems like you have a list of high tiers and lower tiers. This is a plan for disaster. First off, Jefferson has like 10k applicants so even if you're an amazing applicant you may not even get considered there. Duke, Wake Forest, and Dartmouth will depend on your MCAT. NYMC and Drexel are good picks but Brody is 100% IS. Don't know much about FIU but it doesn't seem to be one of the usuals people apply to OOS so id examine that one closely.

Thanks basics. And yeah, I would love to delete this thread (if only I knew how). Again, I didn't mean to post this chance question in the school-specific forum.

I have a 30 on the MCAT. I feel like that's too low for Duke and Dartmouth. I'll look into FIU more closely, like you said.

Anyway, I might as well continue my downward spiral of wrongful posting by elaborating on my EC's:

-3 years patient care as physical therapy technician (1 year in administrative position)
-volunteered at R. Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center
-200 hours volunteering in a foster home (leadership position)
-100 hours independent stem cell research
-150 hours neuroendocrine research using rats
-150 hours nanomolecular research using DNA
-currently working full-time as laboratory assistant in lab of behavioral neuroimmunology

Thank you for your time.
