I would like to read a bit before first year ophtho starts - any way to get the fundamentals book online? I don't want to buy it and then get it again when I start 1st yr.
 
This may not help with that particular book, but I was able to find Kanski's clinical ophthalmology through my med schools library (an online resource). I was surprised to find it online through the library, so I would check into what your library offers. Kanski is long but it has tons of really good pictures and is more complex than something as simple as ophtho book. Not that ophtho book isn't good, but we've probably all read it at least once by now.
