Hey,

Does anyone know of a certain loan from an American bank that is for Canadians where a Canadian co-signer can co-sign the loan ?

thanks

PS: Are there other loans for Canadians studying at U.S. dental schools ?

Federal and provincial. You can get more than $20,000 (in Canadian dollars)

Is this how much u can get in BC for each of the 4 years of dental school?

doubt it. you get a weekly allowance and you have to multiply that by the # of weeks you're in school. i think it comes out to about 10k a year.

i think max amount in a lifetime is 50k
i cant remember exactly how much

go check the BCaid website for the exact #s.

I'm from AB and I got more than $20K. The lifetime limit is $150K

haha So is $50K the lifetime limit you can get in provincial + federal loans? Because that'd be really low..

Hey,

I am from Alberta and I got $40,000 from the federal and provincial government for this year. The maximum however is 90,000 for all four years. You will have to cover the rest yourself or with a bank loan (usually max 200,000).

Let me know if you know of any additional sources of funding.

They actually changed the max to $150 000. How were you able to get $40K? My letter from the government states that I got the legislated max for funding and i got slightly above $20K
