Does anyone know if there are any additional ways of funding our education besides loans? I have been looking for scholarships and what not, but none really pertain to physical therapy.Any info would be awesome. Much appreciated.

You can get money now in exchange for future employment with a company. Most of these opportunities are with big national SNF groups and few hospitals. You also have to be towards the last yr or so of PT school. Check out RehabCare and Manor Care. Of course, you have to pay them back with interest if you bail on them.

I'm not sure if all programs do this, but we have local donors that provide scholarships to our department. You can apply for them once per year once you have started the program. They aren't big, but every little bit helps! Also check out scholarships through the Alumni Association.

There are additional ways, but to find out exactly what they are you should contact the financial aid department of the school you're planning on going to. Some schools have assistantships or similar positions, but from what I can tell they are mainly for 2nd or 3rd year students.
