from Fizzy's blog. once you submit your answers and view your results you can click on the other specialties to the left of the page and see what the descriptions are for them.

note: there is one question about studying in med school, so you should probably just answer how you think you'll study..

looks like no matter what specialty I land in it seems to be the best one ever

It gave me ophtho. Hilar... that is the only specialty I know I will never choose. The thought of eye surgery makes me want to :barf:

LOL, I'm reading through all the options now. Cracking me up. 👍

Wow. Definitely got the speciality I'm currently considering (urology), and I didn't even select all of the urine-related responses...

Obgyn... Um no. This test was crap...

i got cardio, which is one of my top 3 specialties at this point (i think)

"A pathologist is a doctor who knows everything and does everything, but it's too late."

ROFL:laugh:

"Ophthalmology is the best of all specialties. As an ophthalmologist, you will be unable to spell the name of the field you went into. You will loudly assert the difference between your field and optometry, but eventually, you will be making too much money to care."

I was a bit surprised (not that the quiz is really indicative of anything).

These descriptions are LOLworthy

My personal fav:

"Anesthesiology is the best of all specialties. As an anesthesiologist, your job will combine all the fun of waking up very early, sitting still, and paying attention. You will spend 95% of your time bored, 1% of your time in sheer terror, and 4% of your time thinking of practical jokes to play on the surgeons."

Internal Med 😱 - almost dead on. Since oncology/heme isn't even there and IM leads there...

oh wtf

Also, love the when you were a kid question -
a) doctor

bottom - ortho surgeon:laugh:

the ortho one is dead on. it's like a stereotypical meat-head. like when joe in family guy got legs. EXCERSIZEEE!!

internal medicine is better than any of the specialties. When a patient comes in for a check-up, you can send them home with a clean bill of health. And when a patient comes in with high blood pressure, you can prescribe one of a wide variety of drugs, including beta-blockers, diuretics, and ace inhibitors. And when a patient comes in with some other problem, you will be able to refer them to one of a long list of your colleagues.

I'm woman enough to be an OB/GYN. Hmm, it IS a specialty I am considering

This quiz is stupid and you all are dumb for taking it. Hehehehe!I'm a fat nerd in my sophomore year of undergrad but I'm glad this really confirms that I am meant to be a pediatric neurosurgeon! Give me a ****ing break.

It's a joke quiz. Man, relax.

Same here. Although I'm not in medical school so I can't say it with the same certainty.

OB/GYN, huh, never thought about it. The descriptions were great though 😀

Eh no worries, I can't say medical school has really affected my certainty about that decision either way 😉.

OB/GYN? Yeah, right! Urology all the way! 😀

anesthesiology - right on, that's my top choice
I think the fact I enjoy waking up at 4:30 AM (eh, in reality, 5:30, but close enough) had a lot to do with it
great quiz anyway, way better than Careers in Medicine 🙂

I don't even care what I got...I just loved reading these hilarious descriptions.
