Future GI Hopeful...Where to do IM residency? CCF or Case Western?

Want to do GI as career and trying to choose between CCF and Case Western for IM residency? I think Case has the better IM residency, but have a feeling that going to CCF would give me a better chance at matching in GI because of faculty there. Is this true? Any input would be appreciated.

I have a friend in Cleveland Clinic doing his GI fellowship. From what he'stold me in the past, CCF tends to take their own residents for GI... however, competition for their 3 seats is usually very intense... each class of residents will probably have 7-8 GI hopefuls, and they all usually want to stay back [no surprising, considering that their GI is ranked 2nd in the nation behind Mayo. So in short, if you choose CCF, and if you can get ahead in the pack, you will probably match there... also you can look for good interviews from other top places.
