Just FYI...

SCCO's VP of Student Affairs returned from an ASCO meeting in Tampa, FL recently and reported that the ASCO will be implementing a centralized application process effective for the entering class of 2010. So that means you don't have to fill out separate apps for each school! It's like the AMCAS for MD school, AADSAS for dental schools, or PharmCAS for pharm schools. Why didn't they implement it sooner??? Oh well, it's about time!

Definitely a smart move by ASCO! That way each school gets the chance to review more applications I think since most people don't have the time to fulfill each individual school's different requirements.

BTW alferec, I just accepted my seat to SCCO so hopefully i'll see you around!

so does that mean the 1st year opt student class of 2009-2010 or the 1st year opt student class of 2010-2011?

darn it why couldnt they do that earlier?!!!! sheesh..

I think it's 2010-2011.

Hey Seer, congrats on your acceptance. Don't be a stranger and say hi if you see me! I'm the only Chris in the class of 2010 by the way.

To clarify: this new change will be effective for the entering class of 2010 (so they will be first years for 2010-2011).
