Beside we need to know Diatomic F is gas, Br is liquid and I is solid
Is there other ones that we need to know for Mcat? Or is there a general pattern in
The periodic table that help us to predict ?

Elements in gas form at room temperature: Hydrogen, nitrogen, oxygen (think about the air you breathe) Fluorine, Chlorine (chlorine gas was a chemical weapon; fluorine is smaller), all the noble gases.

In liquid form: Bromine, mercury.

Also note that the only gaseous ones at room temperature are the noble gases (full octet) and atoms which automatically form stable diatomic molecules.
