The regular invites come via snail mail in a regular sized envelope (unlike some schools like Tufts which comes in a bigger size envelope). Hope that helps!

My roommate just got a rejection letter post-hold...and in it, they stated that they are finished with their interview season for the fall class of 2006...guess that doesn't bode well for everyone who hasn't received an invite at this point.

how did your roommate get a letter on a federal holiday? i am not asking this to be a jerk, and i don't doubt you. it's simply that i live about 5 miles from GW and it usually takes mail about 12 hours to make it to my house. i guess what i'm saying is - i'm not feeling to happy about checking my mail tomorrow...

After being on pre-interview hold at GW since 12/2, I recently received a letter dated 2/10 which said that "the Committee on Admissions has closed the interview season for the Fall 2006 entering class". It goes on to say that "There is a very slim possibility that the Committee on Admissions may decide to offer a few interviews in late spring" and that my "file has been placed in a small pool of applicants from which the Committee would select those to be interviewed". They actually underlined the words "very slim"!!!

called them last week and they said they are still interviewing through March and they invite 3-4 wks in advance...so i would say there are still spots..

got a letter today saying i was in small pool of applicants still being considered for late spring interview...i was placed on hold december 2....this year over 11,000 people applied for 165 spots...pretty crazy

yeah it sucks gw makes us wait 8 wks...maybe I can take that time to figure out how i will pay the 60K if i get in. hope you hear soon...

Just got my rejection letter.I guess my email prompted them to finally make a decision. It makes me laugh b/c I have already gotten into much better schools. Thanks for wasting my time GW by putting me on hold .

Also, I think it's hilarious (but I'm really crying on the inside) that my letter said they aren't inviting anyone else to interview while other people have this "slim pickings" letter. I wish they owned up to this and just told me, "We are inviting people to interview. You won't be one of them." Instead, I got a half-truth.
Screw this. Word to the manilla on your paper.

early feb and you're going nuts?!?! i interviewed dec 1st!!! ahhhh. they said that their paperhead stationary was out for a little and that decisions were mailed today (Wednesday). anyone else out there interview around that time? good luck to anyone who might hear and let's keep each other posted.

so, what's everyone's secret to getting into gw??? i wanna know! i thought my interviews both went really well, but still ended up waitlisted back in october.

also, does it seem to anyone like more people are getting accepted to gw lately compared to the beginning of the app cycle? i really hope they have some movement on the waitlist this year! does anyone have any idea when they're planning on splitting the waitlist this year?
