as some of you may notice by my other 2 threads already today, it has been a frustrating afternoon. after not hearing from some schools at all, i finally gave them a call.

upenn and usc had not yet downloaded my score that have been available since 8/12, and my app was mailed out 7/31.

the number for admissions at western - that person is out of the office until friday.

now my MAIN problem is with detroit mercy -- i called to see if they were missing my dat scores, but it turns out they have those. BUT, they're missing ALL of my transcripts!!?! and the lady said aadsas won't forward them so i have to go get new ones from all 3 schools that i sent them from. i applied to 13 schools total, and so far have 2 interviews and 1 rejection.

is it worth it to go through all that trouble and waiting time to get those transcripts in?? one of the schools i had to HOUND to get them to move mine up to the front - otherwise it would have taken 8 weeks to process (which is ludicrous, in my opinion).

any advice is greatly appreciated.

not entirely correct... mercy requires official transcripts to be sent regardless of whether aadsas has them. one of 5 or so schools that does that.

8 weeks... in my opinion isn't worth

yeah i called up aadsas and must have sounded like a complete idiot because i just couldn't understand... but i do... now. that sucks. i guess i'll try and figure out how soon i can get them out.

but NOW, i called up nyu a little while ago and they don't have a record of my check being sent, even though they cashed it! wtf! so now i have to fax them a bank statement showing it was cashed. my app was being help up the whole time because they messed up. ughh. ridiculous.

question: to these specific schools you did not hear from, what were the aadsas statuses in the school decision section? were they under review? or waiting additional information?

the funny thing was, i hadn't heard a PEEP from them. zip. zero. zilch. only nyu said they were waiting for additional info. that's 5 schools that i'd heard absolutely nothing from.

oy, i know, it's ridiculous. but i think the reason i heard from bu so quickly is because i went there for undergrad. which, you know, is fine. i'm not gonna argue 😛

How do you know whether the downloaded your official or not. Is there any way I you can know from ADA website?

I don't see all the schools I applied to on AADSAS school decision section. I can only see 9 of em out of 14 I applied

I got the same thing with UPenn the other day when I called. Looks like 3 cases of not downloading DAT scores this week. So much for being an early applicant to that school...

Hey don't you worry about Detroit Mercy. They will not reviewing application until October, so if you send transcripts now, they will have your application complete once they start reviewing the application.

p.s i applied to more schools than you and each morning i set 10 mins just to call school to follow up with my application. Most of the schools answer the phone!

as a lot of us are learning, the only way you can find out is by calling the admissions offices. their numbers are all in the additional info within your d-school designations on your aadsas account.

Yeah I have had a problem with USC this week not having my second DAT scores only the scores from my first DAT exam. They said they downloads for scores Thursday afternoons so I will call/email them on friday again to confirm its with my file. :\
