i would like to start making connections this summer with the podiatry residency programs i am currently interested in, but would like a little guidance as to how to go about doing it. who would be the best person to contact in order to learn more about a particular residency program, and if i am looking to follow a podiatrist or internship somewhere?

Most programs have a residency coordinator who would be the one to start with. That person can then put you in contact with the residents or schedule a visit with you at that time. You can find the contact information for each program on the CASPR/CRIP page.
