Hello, can anyone please explain to me how these agents work, Like hexamethonium . What exact receptors are these drugs blocking? how do they lower bp with tachycardia, are they competitive antagonists? Thanks in advance.

just know that they block reflexes in ANS pharmacology experiments , and because they block ganglia you get the opposite of the dominant system (i.e. vasodilation and no sweating + SANS in everything else) , and the opposite happens if you stimulate the ganglia --> PANS in everything and vasoconstriction/sweating
