I can speak from experience that one should not expect to get a research paper within a year, even at powerhouses like Harvard or utsw.

Somebody with stats like you were doesn't have to worry about being perceived as a Texas resident. Those are the type of people who leave Texas to go to out of state med schools.

Which job is going to pay better? Which research is going to be more interesting to you?

And most importantly, what do you like better? Texas bbq, or Boston cream pie and New England clam chowder?
 
With your stats, you should be able to go where you please. WashU has traditionally been generous with funding for someone with an MCAT like yours. Mayo, Harvard, Stanford might bite, depending on your area of research. Choose the one you like best in terms of location and salary.
