Hi everyone. I've read from some of your posts that you've found jobs in your areas of interest before applying to clinical psych programs, but I've been wondering if there are any established training programs out there? (Or internships that accept grad students and un-enrolled post-baccalaureates?) I already have some independent research experience (thesis, etc.) so if you know of any clinical opportunities, esp. in neuropsych, that would be great

Hmm... I'm not aware of any official programs, per se, but I am aware of several institutions that employ a lot of RAs in psychiatry. I would look into potential positions at MGH (Mass General Hospital), NY State Pscyhiatric Institute at Columbia-Presby, and Stanford (The Gotlib lab seems to employ several RAs and does lots of fMRI work). These would be research positions, but would most likely give you plenty of clinical contact, as well.

thanks a lot. that's just what i was looking for. anyone else who knows of other hospitals/clinics who take a lot of RAs (especially pre-doctoral ones) should post them here
