Hi everyone, i'm a 3rd year med student setting up elective rotations for next year. I'm just wondering if anyone has some insight into the garden city hospital program. I know they are affiliated with MSUCOM. I don't know exactly how they select who will be accepted into the radiology residency. is it through msu or the garden city hospital itself? i'm asking because i want to make sure i'm picking the right place to show myself during my rotation. I would appreciate any help from someone who has first hand experience with this! thanks!

I did not rotate up there, but the I know the PD is specifically at Garden City when I rotated up in Michigan. Interviews are granted through the PD plus or minus a selection committee who tells MSU (large consortium of radiology DO programs), and she calls you up and tells you who has granted you interviews out of the places that take part in that consortium. In the past, many interviews were done on the same day at the same place in Michigan of the programs in that consortium. It saves you time and money. Most osteo programs are very heavy on recruiting students who have rotated with them. After all, you are there for five years. I would definitely look up Garden City online and look into them and find the right people to call (to set up a rotation), if you are that interested in the program.
