If a patient is determined to have chronic gastritis by endoscopy and the following are ruled out as causes: alcohol use, NSAIDs, and H. Pylori, what is the next step in determining the cause of the inflammation? Just curious thanks.

That depends.

Has a tissue sample been taken during endoscopy?
