OK so I've noticed Kaplan has a lot of calculations- alot that you can't really do without a calculator

Is the Gchem section mostly conceptual or are there crazy calculations with multiple steps?
I feel like it cant be so calculation based b/c theres no calculator and theres alot of decimal-based constants, etc for Gchem

Can anyone shed some light on this?

Is Destroyer Gchem on par with the real thing?

kaplan is way too much calculations. It like a regular class sometimes.

dat destoryer slightly more calculations than the actual.

Real DAT nearly zero calculations.

It was mostly give us the correct set up.

most of my calculations could have been done in my head. I wrote htem out to be sure.

I only had one problem, hess's law that I truly had right the numbers down since there was too many things.

the answer choices were difference enough you can estimate the numbers and get it correct.

there wasn't anything that was like # 127 in the 2k10 edition.

they were more or less similar to #189, 200, 204, 234,236.

#127 is a pH problem.

the answer choices had 11,9,8,7,3.5

they are extremely close. you can't estimate. well you could. I did that problem my estimate of the pH was 10. haha.

they did not have anything like that on my test.

the other problems the answer choices were all setups. I'm sure the older version had those types too. I just wanted to give you examples to see what was meant by just providing the setup.

they were not anything hard. One was determining % oxygen in magnisum phosphate. another was applying the combined gas law and finding it the questions case temperature given certain conditions. My test I had to find volume. You get the idea.

% Oxygen? you add their Molar mass and 16 divide by the molar mass of magnisum phosphate? is tht it lol ****.. i dont even know lol

I had some very easy calculations... more like, the easy calculations on topscore. I never did Kaplan so I don't know how it compares to those.

Chem was... weirdly easy? There were a couple that required specific information that I don't think was covered in topscore, but then just guess with the knowledge that you do have 🙂
