The first practice exam that I took I scored a 16 or 17. My sciences were the lowest 15 bio, 14 gc, and 15 oc. I had not studied any materials prior, so i was excited because I figured getting it up to the 18+ range was not going to be bad. So my bio and organic scores are there but my GC is going deep to the bowels of hell. I am below where i started and my test is next week. I need some advice on the situation if anyone has experience this and what should i do to pull myself out of this funk? anyone?

Um yeah, I'm right there with you. I still can't get above a 15-16 on gen chem and my test is next Saturday!! I'd love some help too.

First thing is to RELAX!!! Getting worked up will definitely throw a wrench into your studying.

I know that when I start freaking out I get up and take a break. Gather my thoughts and start again. It can be as shourt as 30 minutes or an hour or so.

As for advice, make sure to concentrate on concepts and review why you got things wrong. Take your time and really try and understand what each question is asking then attack the question.

Good luck to you and best of luck on your DAT.

Well, what tests are you getting your low scores in? Depending on what practice test it is will determine whether or not your doing as bad as you think.
