Gen Chem Questions

Hi everyone,

I take the OAT this Friday (4/22/11) and I was just wondering from those that have taken the OAT before, are the Gen Chem questions more conceptual or more calculations. I've taken three practice tests from Top Score and it was mostly calculation but Kaplan has more conceptual questions. Or the answer set would include various written-out ways that you would correctly go about answering the problem. So I was wondering which way was more reflective of the real OAT.

It is a whole lot of conceptual. The only section with a calculator on the entire OAT is the QR...so in the other sections if any calculations are req'd they can totally be done in your head.

i thought the entire thing was more or less calculations. SIMPLE calculations though. I got one limiting reactant problem and that was the extent of the calculation.
