I am completing secondaries for med school and many of them want me to classify which of my courses satisfy the biology with lab requirement.

I am in a slight pickle and I need some help.

I did a biomedical engineering major in undergrad and through that, I took two physiology classes with labs where the lab and classes were separate courses on my transcript. The issue is, unfortunately, I made a D in one of these physiology classes (and A in the other 😛), but I made A's in both labs. I didn't bother to retake the D because at the time I dropped being pre-med and just wanted to graduate.

Furthermore, I took a Cell Bio class with its lab and also a Genetics class with its lab.

Currently, I am a Master's student in Biology, I have taken numerous Biology courses (maintained a 4.0) but I didn't take labs as they were not required.

So my question is: in place of the traditional Biol 1 and 2 requirement, would a school be ok with me putting Cell bio with lab and Genetics with lab? OR is that usually frowned upon and I need to take those Gen Biol classes?

Similar question on broken up lab/lecture grades. B+ in required orgo chem lecture but C- (I know) in 1 unit orgo lab. Also was a quarter system so that was in part 2 of 3 in orgo series. Do I need to take orgo 2 again, or will the schools put the two grades together and I will have met the pre-req.
