Hey there - I'm in my first sem of Chem and I can't find the right answer to a test question anywhere and I can't wait until they are corrected to know if I got it right....can someone tell me the dot structure for HCO(subscript 2)H??

Is the one H bonded to an O?

Yes, it's a carboxylic acid (sorry i said alcohol at first)..There is also a C-O double bond
