Hello, I was wondering how UC Berkeley Extension classes are seen in the eyes of ADCOMs. I work about 50 hrs/week right now and can't seem to find night classes in my area, so I want to take 1-2 upper level sciences that don't require lab through them.

I think the general consensus is that the in-person classes are good; online ones are crappy. I used several in-person Berkeley Extension courses to show adcoms I could handle med school despite my abysmal GPA, and it worked out. I also got a couple of letters of rec from teachers there. I'd say it was worth it.

If anyone has more insight into this I'd love to hear it. Just finished up UCBX Post Bac and am gearing up to apply.

What were your stats? I'm also taking UCBx and community college courses to rectify my cGPA right now.

3.2 overall, like 2.8 science, MCAT 29, otherwise very strong, well-rounded app. obviously had some trouble adjusting to college, that's all.
