General ob/gyn physicians- how often are you on call?

4 times a month. 24 hour.
My partners who do general are also on call 4 times a month.

Most of the practices I work with vary from every 3rd day to every 7 days. Basically if you have 7 docs, every 7 days or 4x monthly

My residency had a laborist model. There was a pool of 7 or 8 who would do one night (12 hr) per week; about 30 shared four 12 hour shifts on the weekends. Where I was moonlighting there was a practice of 5 who would take one week of call at a time though most in house call issues would be managed by a laborist and they’d just come in for a delivery.
