General Questions for Application

1) How do I select a particular School to be #1 or #2 and etc.
2) what is a secondary applications, and how and when and for what do I fill it out.
3) What happens when you send out your applications w/ letters of evalutations and you don't get in...Do you need new letters for the following year or can you use the same ones.
4) I live in NY, I am thinking of applying to NYU, stoneybrook, NJUD, Buffalo...How do I rank them in order and what should I put first and second and so forth.
5) What are some tips for the application process when filling out your application
6) how do i forward the grades for classes that i'm taking in the spring when the application is due by december.

Why do you want to rank your schools? Dental admissions is not a match process, like it is for dental residencies. Just thought i would clear that up for you.

Another thing is apply early.
I mean, complete your files early: finish aadsas, secondaries, pay fees, LOR, dat scores, etc.
It maybe too late to apply in Decemeber.

2. A secondary application is one that is generated by a school. They generally sent out by a school after they have received and reviewed your AADSAS application.

6. There is a section on the application which allows you to list classes which you will be taking. Since the application will go out before you are even done with them, you can submit your official transcript (once your grades are in) directly to the schools so that they can view your grades. I am not sure if you would have to update your AADSAS application (check with the schools to find out).

3) In this case you should probably have your recommender update the letter, maybe revise it and put on a new date so its not the same thing just a year older. That's assuming that you know they are great recommendations.

im assuming he's referring to other posters saying "oh, i got accepted to my #1 school"....and he's wondering how he would be able to let a particular school know that they are his number one even though he has applied to a variety of others....did i get that right? or do i need some sleep, its been an all nighter...lol

but if thats what your wondering, you can't....we just use it as a figure of speech here on SDN. if that not your wondering, then jrogoff is definately right...by the way, you seem to have very simple questions about the process, if I were you i would try to utilize the search link at the top right...
