SDN! Hello!
I have a quick question, I was just curious how much of Genetics was on the DAT and to what extent? What have y'all encountered?
Simple Mendelian Genetics where dominant and recessive are in fact dominant or recessive?
Or more into detail of interaction between alleles, genes, etc...
Does it go into Genetic Mapping and such?
Just few examples off of my head but how were y'alls experience with Genetics on the DAT?

This is what the ADA says will be tested in regards to genetics:
Molecular genetics, human genetics, classical genetics, chromosomal genetics, and genetic technology

I think a genetics class will help since a lot of it is conceptual, although your genetics class will probably go way over the level of difficulty on the DAT.

The rest of the topics tested can be found on page 5 of the DAT Guide: http://www.ada.org/sections/educationAndCareers/pdfs/dat_examinee_guide.pdf

Ari's answer is a good one.

We aren't allowed to talk about specifics on the test. However, I'd say that the information in Cliff's AP Bio and Barron's AP Bio is sufficient.

Yes. Mendelian and Molecular genetics are on it. Feralis and Destroyer have some good stuff on it.
