So, besides the required courses, what classes do you think are best to take in order to beef up your transcript/application. Also, to help on the DAT's of course....

micro? cell? genetics? mam phys? immunology???? there are too many to chose from and i only have three slots... which three???

i've heard different combinations of what's important... so you tell me~ thanks!

phys, micro, cell

genetics, phy, micro. Genetics will help you nail hardy Weinberg questions

If you are taking biology classes because you enjoy biology then take genetics. It is pretty important.

I have a genetics final next week and we didn't even touch Hardy Weinberg equations. I'd say take 1. cell bio, 2. Micro 3.Genetics. There will be overlap in all of them.

Biochem I if you've alreadly had good background on Organic Chem.

If you can get cell and really get it, it helps a ton. When your in your oral histo class and threre throwing down cell adhesions you will be on top of the game. The cell is where all the action happens, path and physiology are much easier with a solid foundation in cell.

DEFINITELY Cell. Next choice is Micro. Genetics is last because most dental schools don't even teach it because it is not on the boards (only the basics that are taught in Cell).

I'd go with physio, cell and genetics.

I'd go with physio, cell and genetics.

Hands down physio or cell.

With cell, you're going to get all kinds of pathways, genetics, receptors etc.

With physio you're going to get more total body pathways and schemes.

Physio as a whole is easier so I'd go with the harder one so d-school is easier.

good luck
