Hi all,

Can somebody please explain to me page 17 of Feralis notes (1) DNA Pol 1 versus DNA Pol 3, and (2) Replication of Telomeres. I am quite confused by both of them

DNA polymerases 1 and 3 are both in bacteria. Type 3 is the one responsible for leading and lagging strand synthesis. Has no proofreading activity. DNA pol 1 has proofreading activity. Functions during DNA repair.
