So how bad is the geometry on the DAT? I'm about finished working through KBB QR and have to say that all those random formulas are quite intimidating. I have at least 20+ random formulas to find any possible thing you could want about these odd looking figures.

The first problem is memorizing these formulas.. especially when they all look the same.

The second problem is that to figure the question out, I have to use like three of these formulas together.. Ugh.

Someone please tell me the real thing just asks about the perimeter of a rectangle and the area of a triangle. 🙁

So not all the trig formulas and calcs are really necessary?? (other than the obvious, soh cah toa)

I am worried about the randoms for geometry.. i.e. - rhombus, trapezoid, parallelogram formulas. Has anyone actually had these on the DAT or do they stick with circles, squares, and triangles?

So I'm bumping this again with the intention of getting some responses for a fairly simple question..

For those of you who have taken the DAT:

Have you seen any "advanced" geometry (rhombus, equilateral, parallelogram, sphere) problems?

Thank you..

Definitely understand the topics you listed above. Pay special attention to special triangles (30-60-90) or (45-45-90).

what about the ones where you find the area or degree of a specific geometric thing but they don't give you full details, like a rectangle in a circle.
