Hi. I was recently invited to interview at Georgetown and Drexel, but I wanted to know how filled their classes were. Does anyone think that I might have a chance of getting into these schools with such a late interview? I was an august mcater and have not been accepted anywhere yet.

I am hoping that someone can give me some advice on whether it is worth it to go interview at these schools and whether one is better than the other. A lot of SDNers have had negative comments about GU.

Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks!

Do you have instate at Drexel? If so, then you are better off. They show a strong preference for instate.

hey bittersweet,

why WOULDN'T you go to the interviews!!?? if I read correctly, you said you have no acceptances (*yet*)

take the comments on this site with a grain of salt - I know people say negatives about both schools, and I have said some negative comments about GU as well, but they are STILL medical schools with great advantages. maybe some people wouldnt pick those schools over others, but there are plenty of people who would die to be in your shoes and have the opportunity to go to them

I say, go to the interviews, not only bc you do not have acceptances yet, but b/c you should make your own opinions about the schools- some people absolutely love g'town, and you wont know until you go- and if you do, it is a school that LOVES people who love them

so feel priveleged to still have some good options ahead of you and good luck!

until you have an acceptance in hand, continue on the interview trail.

DRexel doesn't show preference for in-staters at all. In fact, my class (2006) was composed of more californians than pennsylvanians! You definitely have a chance of getting into Drexel... I interviewed during the first week of april and got accepted. and even if you get waitlisted, you have a good shot of getting in. Drexel is a fantastic school and if you want to know more details, I made a post a couple months ago entitled "all about drexel." you can look it up. good luck.

babinski bob -- is there a way to email you or PM you?

I am a pennsylvania resident and interviewed at drexel in october. The admissions director, Dr. Tunkle, told the group that PA residents do have a slight preference.
