Georgetown and GW

expensive-i lived there for 2 years and lived in a sqaure room for 1300/month-was the size of my current bedroom-only it had my kitchen, bathroom, bedroom, dining room, living room-all in a 20 by 20 room or so-tax is 15 percent on everything. parking is outrageous-400/month to park a car in your own apartment building. That is if you live right in the city-I lived across the street from GW and 5 mins from G town. So you could live a lot further away and save but still pricey. Other than that, the city has a GREAT night life and restarants-mmm restarants are amazing-every kind of food you could imagine on every street corner. If you are single and into nightlife and stuff-amazing city. If you are married-then not much benefit in living there. I am from the west however and hated dc-too cold, too many non-white people. Since I am white, i rarely found a white girl to date-there just are not many out there! Tons of indians and persians! Very high strung city but that is an east coast thing. I had some experience with the psych department there-I did medschool there for the first 2 years and knew most of the psych faculty.pm me if needed
