Well, I don't know what I would do. I did the MSP and IMS years at Drexel as my MCAT scores were weak coming out of college. So for me, it was a no brainer as I didn't have an option. Two of my good friends did the GTown program and both got into allo schools as did I. I also visited them a couple of times in DC while in Philly and we discussed the programs.
GTown is more expensive in tution and in cost of living. Drexel is cheaper in both those regards but Philly is not anywhere as nice as DC.
I think the big issue is: how is your application prior to entering the post-Bacc? The thing that most people don't consider when going to a post-Bacc is that there is ususually something in your application that needs fixing and most schools want to see a whole year of change. For example: if you have a 3.2 undergrad GPA and your MCAT scores are good, then med schools will usually want to see a whole year of post-Bacc performance (grades) to judge your file. If not a whole year, then you are simply applying with the same application that you had as an undergrad and maybe one semester of new grades.
The theory behind the two years of the Drexel IMS program is to give yourself a year of academics then apply while doing research. Whereas iin contrast is possible to complete a year long post-Bacc and not get in that year and you will need to reapply. I think GTown kids who don't get in can return to do a year of research, but I am not sure.
The key is to do very well in whatever path you choose. You must be able to handle the large volume of material and at a faster pace than undergrad.
Personally, I considered transfering after my first year at Drexel to go to the GTown program as I had always wanted to live in DC. But I ruled it out after considering my financial situation and that I was already known to the program office.
Best of luck and PM me questions if you like.
