Hi everyone!

I've been offered places on the postbaccalaureate premedical programs at Georgetown and Penn State, and need to get my confirmation (or otherwise) as to whether I'll be enrolling at Georgetown very shortly. I'm also waiting to hear from Columbia but I'm not so confident about that. Whichever I choose I'll be starting in the second summer session, so with how the courses are arranged I'll be able to finish at the end of June 2010 at Penn State, or August at Georgetown. I'll then - fingers crossed - be starting medical school in the UK in October 2010.

Now, I know Georgetown probably has the better name recognition, but everything I've heard from former students is that the postbaccalaureate students aren't very well catered to there, the facilities are lacking, etc., so I'm really not sure. I've made a list of pros and cons:

Georgetown:
Pro - the 'name'
Pro - location
Con - large classes
Con - expensive
Con - I'll finish later

Penn State:
Pro - Small classes apparently
Pro - I'll finish earlier
Pro - cheaper
Con - less highly regarded
Con - somewhat out in the sticks

I'd love to hear peoples' thoughts.
