Assuming I'm not having another senior moment (graduation in T-29 days and counting), I think your chances are quite good, however, in order to get off the wait-list (or "competitive applicant list") you MUST write either Ms. Sullivan or the ADCOM stating why you want to go to Georgetown. I believe they do not accept applicants from that list unless they write an essay describing their interest in Georgetown. Good luck, though! :luck:

I wrote the letter one week ago to mrs. sullivan. Thanks for the information, and the words of confidence

Sorry if I'm misquoting, but I think I remember Ms. Sullivan saying that if you write a letter stating why you want to go to Georgetown off the waitlist, you have a 50-75% chance of getting in. Good luck!

Adding another question: Does anyone know by when we should receive decision notifcation post-interview at Georgetown? I interviewed on 2/23 and feel like the 5/15 deadline is coming up really soon.

there's actually only 1 waitlist at georgetown, the "competitive applicant pool." but, yeah, likes others said, definitely write a very thoughtful 3-paragraph "persuasive letter" (that is what mrs. sullivan called it) and send it asap. they've already been taking people off the competitive applicant list for some time now. mrs. sullivan told us that the only way to get in off the list was to write the letter. she also said to write it to dr. william lauerman. i'm not sure what his exact title is, but i believe he's the chairman of the admissions committee. you can address it to the care of the admissions office and mrs. sullivan will give dr. lauerman the letter. i hope that is helpful. best of luck.

oh, and to person who was wondering about response time, it only took them about a month to get back to me, but that was in december/january. so, maybe you could call and see what's up.
