Hey y'all,

My SO has an interview at GRU on the 23rd, and she is curious about a few things in her preparation. From anyone who's interviewed here, I'd appreciate some input on the following :

- What is the interview format? Fairly casual, open/closed file, etc?

- Are there any questions she needs to be prepared for?

- Are there any questions she needs to ask?

- Any general tips at all?

Thanks!

Hello!
I found the interview to be quite relaxed, but of course you want to look your best! Guys wore suits, girls wore skirt/pant suits or dresses. You spend about an hour split into groups with a chance to ask current students any questions you have. Then the individual interviews are conducted by a faculty member, a practicing pt in the community, and a current student. No questions that I would really prepare for, they were all pretty straightforward. As for questions to ask, it's really up to the interviewee and what he or she would like to know about the program that hasn't already been answered. However, you can find some good suggestions in some of the threads on here. I think they try to make you feel as comfortable as possible, so don't stress too much. Just be yourself!

Thanks! That's helpful.

I would really research the program in depth and if possible, contact a friend that has attended their DPT program. if not, reach out to a student and ask them about the program. program seemed like they had a good culture there though and the allied health part of campus was beautiful. 1st year students were pretty freakin cool to ask questions/hang out with, too.
