Geriatrics

I just wrapped up a week of Geriatrics (and immediately called my Grandmother and asked if she has the AC on) and had a thought. Although I have no interest in the specialty, it occured to me that there are 2 fellowship paths, one through IM and one though FP. Do fellowships take both IM and FP grads? Are there separate programs for FP and IM? Anyone know of other specialties that funnel into a common fellowship?
