Hey Ross,

I've spent the last week reading all the previous threads in the Psych. forums and, without a doubt, everyone seems to worry that their scores are "not good enough". However, after reading the previous threads, I am convinced that scores are NOT the primary concern in Psych.. Now, having said that, I would encourage you to apply to many schools -- if you get more interview offers than you can afford/want, you can politely decline the less desireable ones.

Just to give you a bit of hope: there are several individuals who have posted their Step scores, to emphasize that their scores did not keep them from interviewing at several prestigious institutions!

Hope this gives you hope!

thanks so much for ur kind words...the reason why i posted my score was because i also saw other threads....but their scores were higher than mine. So i thought I would grow a pair of balls and post mine as well 🙂

Do you know if its hard to get into any florida programs?

Based on what I've read on FREIDA, the Florida schools have several Psych. residencies; however, they do offer several interviews. Based on the FREIDA numbers, approximately 1/10 interviewees match there. That sounds scary; but if you consider that many individuals likely interview at all three schools, your chances are probably MUCH higher -- especially when considering that many of those interviewed will match elsewhere! Okay, this isn't scientific; but, it does seem promising. Further, USF supposedly did not fill a few years back. Finally, conventional wisdom seem to be that if you receive an interview, you are satifactory on paper. 👍
