Get old rec letters back?

Hi All,
What do you think.....My undergrad pre-med dept insisted on all my rec letters going straight to them without me reading them. I have one, I am looking all over for others that I may have forgotten I had. I graduated in 2000. I am 26 years old. Do you think that my undergrad will send them out to schools for me? Med Schools want them direct from undergrad don't they. I went to Dental school for a year, they have the rec letters too. Maybe I can ask them. What should I do? Thanks.🙄 😱 🙁

I think undergrad institutions are required to keep letters for 10 years by law. That's how it is at my school. BUT, 2000 was a while ago. They may want more recent letters that pertain to your current activities/personality etc...
