Hello all,

I'm interested in this PGY-2 residency program that requires Transitional Year.
My step score isn't that great (215).
Any idea on how broadly I would need to apply?
Any recommendations on transitional year programs that wouldn't judge my score too harshly?
Any tips on how to make myself stand out to transitional year programs?
I know I'm not much of a bigshot, but any tips are welcome.
First year grades are good, second year grades are meh. I've been doing well on clinical rotations, and looking forward to decent LORs. I have a case report thats in the process of being accepted. I haven't volunteered much in medschool or done much research, but did both extensively in undergrad. Have a masters degree in cell and molec bio. Would be interested in engaging in research.

Which advanced residency are you shooting for? Can a prelim med year count?
Not all TY years are super competitive. Two factors that make certain ones less competitive are location and tons of ward months.
