Technology Getting an iPad to Use Electronic Textbooks?

I recently looked at the iPad and found out that you can get electronic versions of textbook and use them on the ipad. I would love to do this, but I want to know how much money you could save buying the electronic version on the ipad rather than the real book. Anyone have experience with this or know how much you could save? Im a sophomore premed student btw

Remember if you buy an electronic version of a book you cannot resell that book to another individual

There aren't very many electronic textbooks available. Textbooks are a major cash cow for book publishers, and they've been very reluctant to move to electronic media.
