How many people actually only get an MD acceptance and take it? It seems to me that because the competition is ruthless for MD/PhD, there has to be some qualified applicants that don't get an MD/PhD, but rather, only an MD acceptance.
Although I still have a chance for an MDPhD acceptance, there is a reasonable chance that I might go to an MD only program. However, I will be getting a PhD too regardless of if i get into an MDPhD program.
