Dear SDNers,
Anyone get pissed about how you always have to get that "A" because in the back of your head it could be the diffrence between exceptance or rejection? Some guy in one of my literature classes must have been strugling, because he got a test back with a "B" on it and he was so excited. I got a "B+" and I was madd. I could take pleasure in seeing him to good, but not me. I think their is something wrong with this whole grading system, but whatever...

Jeff•••••**** dude, with your grammar skills you should be thanking the good Lord you're pulling B+'s on any paper.

Jeff•••••Hey don't worry about it. As you probably already know, not everyone has ALL A's that get accepted into med school. It's the total package. Good Luck! 😀

hehe, I always used to think that way---I'm overdramatic.....befor each test I would think that it determines the rest of my life. Guess what--it's good practice for the MCAT. 😛

Papa Smurf, that was pretty damn funny, thanks for the laugh.

No offense to the original poster.

I never worried about getting A's because of getting into med school or not. My motivation was to avoid embarrassment.

That is exactly what I was thinking Papa!
ha!

Papa Smurf, you've been an ass today. Endorse kindness. We are all trying to learn.

It's sad that the harshness of the pre-med life reduces us to going to school not to learn but to pull A's. I'd rather be a B+ student and have dignity that I gain valuable information and tried my best then be an A student because I challenged the professor for every point.

Hopefully in med school the object of learning will be so that one day you can be a competent doctor. But knowing some students their motivation for getting honors or high pass is to land a derm residency!

For future reference, whenever you see a  in one of my posts, it means I'm joking. If people haven't caught on yet, then I guess I have to just come right out and say it. First off, I wouldn't be remotely surprised if this whole thread was created as a joke anyway. No one makes that many spelling mistakes. I will add that I find it humorous that you call me an ass, and then ask me to endorse kindness. Ok then.

•Dear SDNers,
exceptance •••••I've never been excepted to anything. I am always getting rijekted. <img border="0" alt="[Laughy]" title="" src="graemlins/laughy.gif" />

Sorry dude. I was imbibing last night and became belligerent. After reading the initial post again, I think that Geoff was drinking as well. It looked fine last night.

Try your hardest and you will get an A. Never in all of the classes I've taken have I gotten an A. Suddenly I change the attitude, work hard and it happens.

Even if you don't get an A, you know you've done the best you can and thats still pretty damn good.

7 years later + a lot of motivation + a little neurosis = A's.

••••I don't post very often but I come here to read quite often. Of the tens of thousands of posts I have read...this is by far the funniest. Ceez, I congratulate you! <img border="0" alt="[Laughy]" title="" src="graemlins/laughy.gif" />

I hope I have people like you in my med classes. LMAO!! <img border="0" alt="[Laughy]" title="" src="graemlins/laughy.gif" /> <img border="0" alt="[Laughy]" title="" src="graemlins/laughy.gif" />

What is this "B" you speak of? It sounds familiar yet I don't think believe I've ever encountered it personally. 😀
