Okay, school's almost coming to end... and I only finals left for my classes.
As of right now, I think I'm going to end up getting C in both Organic Chemistry II and genetics. If I do, my cumulative GPA would be 3.6 and science GPA would be around 3.5, before it was around cum:3.7 and sci: 3.6.. I really wanted to keep it above 3.7 but these classes are just too hard!
I never got Cs before.. is it going to make a big difference when I apply this cycle??

with that gpa it should not really matter. Obviously you want to do as well as you want to, but 2 C's will not kill you. If it was to ever come up in an interview, which i dont think it would if the rest if grades are good (which you said they were), you could just say that you had a very demanding semester extracurricular wise. Do not retake the classes and do not let it hinder you from applying. Just get a good Total science score on the DAT and you will be ok

I don't believe it will make a difference.... Your overall and science GPA are both above the national average.... Just be sure not to get a grade lower than a C, cause some dental schools might make you retake

I totally know what you mean about genetics. I took that class last year, we went through all 22 chapters of the book and I remember out of like 350+ students, only 17 (or 18) got a 4.0, I was one of them but I WORKED MY BUTT OFF, none of that stuff came natural, I used to sometimes spend the entire saturday and sunday just reviewing the few chapters we went over the week before and doing thier problems.... very nasty course, and its especially harder when the professor lectors you on "theory" but all the exams are "problem based solving"

Do not worry, just do your best. One C ...so what! They did not care about my C.

The adcoms will probably see your case as senioritis 😛

As others said, your cumulative GPAs are so high already, this won't make a difference at all.

Yeah, you don't have to worry. Just do your best on your finals.

My interviewer at UDM actually brought up my C+ in organic chemistry, but he didn't grill me about it... All he said was "your grades are great, with the exception of one." haha. Good luck.
