Getting Deposit Back?

So i decided to switch schools after paying OHSU deposit. Is it possible to get some or all of your deposit back even though they say nonrefundable? I've heard of people doing this at others schools, didn't know if anyone has tried with OHSU.

The point of the deposit is to ensure your seat and show incentive to stay, you lose it if you switch schools usually. Sorry.

I know someone who switched before their school cashed their check, so they cakes the bank and had it invalidated. I don't recommend trying though.

Yes, i obviously know the point of the deposit. I only brought it up because I've heard of people getting their deposits back.
